Contracts and client payments for web agencies
Once a prospect says yes, deals often stall on paperwork: a contract to send, a signature to chase, an invoice to issue. Vortex keeps these steps next to the client file, so you can move from agreement to payment without switching tools.
Contracts your client signs online
Upload your contract as a PDF or a Word file, attach it to a client and send a signing link. The signer reads the document, types their full name and confirms they agree. The link expires after seven days.
When it is signed, both parties receive a receipt that includes the time and a fingerprint of the document, and Vortex records the signature details for your records.
- Typed signature with explicit consent
- Document integrity check at signing time
- A signed receipt e-mailed to you and to the signer
- Links already sent stay valid so signatures in progress go through
Get paid through Stripe Connect
Connect your Stripe account once. You can then charge a client with a payment link or an invoice, paid directly to your own Stripe account. The money goes to you; Vortex takes a platform commission that depends on your plan.
The commission is 4% on Starter, 2% on Pro and 1% on Agency, on top of Stripe's own processing fees. On a €5,000 client payment that is €200, €100 or €50 respectively.
Everything stays on the client file
Contracts, invoices and payments sit with the client, next to their prospect history and their analytics portal. You see at a glance who has signed, who has paid and who is waiting.
Is an e-signature enough?
A typed signature with a recorded consent and an audit trail is accepted for many everyday service contracts, but requirements depend on your country and on the type of contract. Check what applies to yours, and ask a legal professional for anything high-stakes.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to use Stripe Connect?
No. It is optional. You can use contracts and the rest of Vortex without connecting Stripe.
Who pays the Stripe fees?
Stripe's own processing fees are billed separately by Stripe. Vortex's commission is a distinct platform fee that depends on your plan.
What happens if I cancel my Vortex subscription?
Signing links that were already sent stay valid so that contracts in progress can still be signed. Payments already started are not interrupted.
